Looking To Travel? Here are the Go to Destinations for 2020!

Update: As this was published before COVID-19 became a global pandemic, you are advised to check with your travel agent before making any plans. As for now, all I can say is that it seems quite a distant possibility that travel is going to open again this year. So, you can keep these places in mind for 2021!

Want to travel around the world in 2020? You are quite lucky as I have compiled a list of some of the best Go to Destinations for 2020. Narrowing down the best vacation spots is not an easy task. I went through various tourism statistics, flight routes, press releases and a lot more to come up with this list. Following are the hottest travel destinations for 2020. (Or 2021, owing to the global pandemic)

Norway

Covered by breathtaking glaciers, snow capped peaks, and rough coastline, Norway is perfection. This stunning country is filled with beautiful sites and positive aura. If you want to visit top-notch hotels and restaurants then modern Oslo has to be your place. However, the real delight of Norway is situated outside the major cities. There you’ll find some world class small hotels and rehabilitated farmsteads that provide the best hospitality. Moreover, the eye-catching scenery and other specialties will make your stay worthwhile.

Berlin

Berlin experienced two of the most important anniversaries in 2019: the thirtieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and Bauhaus celebrated its centenary. The Bauhaus Festival took place at the very famous Akademie der Kunst. The festival observed various furniture displays; apart from that most of the important figures of the school also displayed other designs. Sad you missed it? Well, you still have a reason to visit Bauhaus – Architectural Heritage.

Maldives

Ever since people got to know about the development of several different inexpensive guesthouses in the Maldives, this beauty has been experiencing a lot of independent traveling. This doesn’t mean that Southeast Asia is extremely cheap but due to an increase in the local guesthouses in Maldives tourism has drastically increased. Per night you have to pay around $90 to enjoy the meals and other fun activities such as diving and a lot more.

Miami, USA

Miami has been captivating tourists since ages, its gorgeous beaches and happening nightlife are the centers of attraction. This Magical City is also famous for some amazing food destinations, wonderful arts and much more. Some of its places such as the famous science museum, Institute of Contemporary Art, Museum Garage have eye-catching architecture.

Matera, Italy

Matera has made a comeback with a number of cave dwellings. There was a time when the caves of this Southern Italy city were unhygienic and uninhabitable, however with the passage of time many entrepreneurs have begun to invest in them. Many caves have been transformed whereas several are still in the process of restoring. The very famous hotel ‘Sextantio Le Grotte Della Civita’ was once a cave but now it is a part of Design Hotels and running quite well.

Turkey

Ever since Istanbul’s world’s largest airport came into being, it has been receiving more than ninety million passengers every year. The most exciting news is that major cruise lines are expected to return back to Turkey after almost three years. New cruise port located on Galata waterfront will be welcoming the cruise line real soon. Apart from that, it is also heard that the Galata waterfront will also have a stunning Istanbul Modern museum, on top of that a luxury hotel is also ready to go live. Isn’t that just amazing?

Egypt’s Southern Nile Valley

Southern Nile Valley is Egypt’s most loved tourist spot; it has helped the country earn a lot from the travel business. 2020 is expected to see a huge number of travelers because of its exceptional historical background. You only need to have a few dollars to visit world famous ancient sites located in the Nile south. The visit to temples and tombs is quite inexpensive; however, if you are on a cruise then you must have some extra bucks in your pocket. People who want to experience the best desert adventure should definitely opt for this destination. You must visit the Southern Nile Valley of Egypt if you want to have the time of your life.

Shenzehn, China

Shenzhen is also known as the ‘Silicon Valley’, by far it is considered as China’s most developed city. People are swarming to this beautiful city because of a great increase in tech innovation, creative opportunities, and several design openings. In the past, the nightlife in China was considered cheaper and less exciting but with the passing time, Shenzhen has managed to change this concept. As for now, Shenzehn is quite popular for cool cafes, amazing nightlife, and new arts district.

Romania

The news is that Bucharest is about to get its first luxury hotel quite soon. Atop it will have a great food scene and other luxuries. But not to forget that Romania’s main attraction is the countryside called Bukovina. It is equipped with some incredible monasteries and excellent wooden churches. In addition to that Transylvania also known as ‘Dracula country’ is a great romantic reminder for all the people who want to know how the continent looked back then. In such times when biodiversity is shrinking speedily, Romania is filled with loads of virgin forests. Unlike others, its meadows have never been in contact with any kind of pesticides thus resulting in rich greenery and the largest population of wildlife. Man and nature are living with harmony in this awe-inspiring place.

If you want to enjoy the diversity then you must visit Indonesia. From unique resorts to tribal traditions Indonesia is one of the best go-to destinations for 2020. It’s a nation made up of thousands of islands hence offering diverse cultures, mouth-watering cuisines, and various religions. Some parts of Indonesia had experienced earthquakes, but much of the country is safe and sound for the tourists.

Moscow

Vladimir Putin is very popular for spending billions on Moscow and making it one of the most beautiful capitals of the world. Moscow is a gift for all the Russians and travelers, its glittery sites distract you from the worries. There are a number of stylish boutiques and exceptional cafes located in the city. Additionally, there are numerous shopping centers and entertainment places available for people to enjoy. Red Square and Zaryadye Park are equally popular and amazing. The team that was responsible for creating New York’s High Line is behind the design of this culture-rich park.

Agra, India

Last year was the restoration year for the very beautiful Taj Mahal, its turrets and marble dome will be back this year with new and gleaming polish. It’s best to plan a visit before the monsoon season begins. You can go and witness the glory of this majestic Mahal yourself. Panama

There was a time when islands near Panama’s Pacific coast were uninhabited and were not quite known. But now they have transformed into top-notch lodges with the promise that the areas will be preserved and the environment won’t be spoiled. Auckland, New Zealand

If you are planning to travel then Auckland should definitely be on your travel bucket. In the year 2019, they celebrated their 250th anniversary of the very famous Captain James Cook’s journey. He was the one who brought New Zealand on the map. The dual heritage will be celebrated with full enthusiasm.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica is one of the best places to be in, it has exceptional surf spots, positive vibe, and extremely gorgeous rainforests. These are just some of the destinations that I would love to travel in the coming times. I am more than 100% sure that I have missed out on a number of destinations and I would love to hear (and see) the destinations that you people have in mind.
